Felipe In Wonderland

“In Spanish, ‘tara’ means ‘something that’s difficult to make,” explained Ventisquero Wine Estates’ Felipe Tosso, who is one half of Tara’s winemaking team, at our recent Tara Influencer tasting. Guests were sent a Tara Tasting Kit, complete with a little bottle of salt harvested directly from the vineyards in the Atacama – the world’s driest desert. Three different colours of sizzle paper, together with the green wrapping paper on the bottle of salt, mirrored the colours of the desert vineyard – shown on the inside lid of the box. ‘Drink Me!’ said the label on the bottle of Tara. ‘And you can then taste ME!’, said the little salt bottle. The Atacama is a Tara Wonderland, stamping its mineral and saline personality on each and every bottle of wine produced there.
