Lambrusco Goes LARGE In London!

Over 150 Press and Trade guests made a beeline for London’s Intercontinental Hotel in November to attend the UK’s largest ever tasting of Lambrusco.  On the menu for the day - a walkaround tasting of 100 wines from the 6 different DOCs, two packed Masterclasses from the articulate and expert Ray O’Connor MW, an evening Pizza Party (to showcase how well these wines go with certain foods) and a live DJ.

Lambrusco has undergone a significant makeover in recent years and morphed into a region of real relevance and interest for wine lovers seeking out something sparkling, food friendly, low alcohol and different.  This event was a longtime pipedream of the charismatic Carla Capalbo, rendered a buzzing reality via the hard work of the Consorzio Tutela Lambrusco, some top notch pizzas from Chef Theo Randall, mouth melting salumi and a whole wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano shipped in from the region for the occasion, and team ewpr might have had something to do with it as well!  Lambrusco went SO LARGE in London.  It really did. Just ask anyone who was there.   EW
