Tara Turns Ten!
Widely credited as rocketing Ventisquero Wine Estates to amongst the top wineries to watch in Chile, Tara is the small-production, hand-crafted wine made from grapes grown in the world’s driest desert - The Atacama, in northern Chile – where the soils are so saline, that the crystals turn the surface of the soil white.
Winemaker Alejandro Galaz took time out of a Tara tour of Europe to host a ‘10 Years Of Tara’ vertical tasting at Clarke’s restaurant. Decanter’s Julie Sheppard, David Kermode, Jamie Goode, Harpers’ James Bayley, Harry Eyres, Janet Wang, John Clarke, Louie Rodrigues and David Pearce were treated to three vintages of Tara Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, alongside the new 21 Sauvignon Blanc and solera Viognier NV.
